This year, Bing Ads introduced a series of updates and features that aimed towards improving how advertisers connect with their customers. Let recap some of these changes introduced and how they will impact advertisers in year 2018.

Making Expanded Text Ads More Compatible

After launching Expanded Text Ads on its platform, they introduced two new features to make it easy to migrate and adopt the new format.

 

Ad Extension Update

Bing Ads made it easier to schedule your Ad Extensions with the launch of Ad Extension Scheduling, made ad extension management available for account level association,  introduced new tracking parameters to help advertisers ascertain the ad extension that led to the click and the geographical location from where the click happened and announced Callout Extension Opportunity to view the metrics that might help advertisers in deciding to adopt callout.

 

Enhanced CPC Performance and Desktop Bid Adjustment Updated

Bing Ads introduced Enhanced CPC last year, and this year they shared how ECPC has been able to gain tremendous response from its advertisers. Here’s why you should give it a try and how.

They also updated their Desktop bid adjustment which can now be completely set to -100% now in syn with other device types.

 

Updates Made to Keywords 

Bing Ads imposed restriction on using trademarks as keywords, however the use of trademarks in ad copy will remain untouched.

They announced updates made to the exact match close variants by also including reordered keywords, similar to the AdWords announcement about the same.

 

Account Multi-Linking, Daily Budget and Automated Imports

Bing Ads rolled out Multi-linking to empower advertisers with multiple account management and discussed how advertisers can take advantage of this new feature.

With the new Automated Imports, advertisers can now automatically sync their AdWords campaigns with Bing Ads. So, now you don’t have to spend time manually making the updates and manage campaigns across both platforms effectively.

They also moved out from monthly budgets to daily budgets, which was made mandatory by the end of April, this year.

 

Introducing Labels and Improvements Made to Upgraded URL

Bing Ads has made some improvements to Upgraded URLs that will help advertisers in testing landing pages to find any issues with it and new filtering options for keywords or ads.

Labels were added to the Bing Ads accounts all across the world. With labels advertisers can manage their ppc account more effectively.

Updates Made To Remarketing 

Earlier this year, Bing Ads released an additional feature in Remarketing – exclusions followed by Remarketing bid adjustments later the year to let advertisers adjust bids of their audience lists.
